Revival
The last time I updated was in September when all the changes were going on in my life. When I think back at the past 6 months, I only have one word: thankful. It is hard to say anything else when everything has been prepared and led by God.
Were there hard times? Yes.
Were there times that I felt helpless? Yes.
Were there times that I wish I could run away from all the troubles? Yes.
However, that's the thing, if there weren't hard times, helplessness, or fear, I would not be able to see the greatness of God. I still don't know why God wanted me to be at SWBTS (or ACBC...), but if it's where He's called me to, then all I can do is obey by faith. I have not mastered this, I struggle, I complain, but always...ALWAYS in the end, God's goodness shines through. Then I fall to my knees and praise Him. This is why I have hope for the future, that even though there may be tough times now, I know that He'll be faithful to lead me through. How wonderful it is to have such a hope in Him!
Along the lines of His faithfulness, though I did not strive for it, God has provided an amazing opportunity for this summer. At the end of April I will be traveling with a three professors and two other students to China to translate for the professors. I'm really excited, because even though I've done a lot of verbal translations for speakers, this will be a completely different experience. Plus, the times I've translated before we're mostly Chinese to English, but it's the other way around this time, so please pray for me. After China, I'll be going to Hong Kong to finally see Enoch's life over there. Then vacation in Taiwan with parents, and then to Japan to see their ministry and serve alongside them for three weeks. The best thing about all of this is that God provided the costs of this entire trip. I never imagined or expected it, but He is good, so good to me.
Since I'll be going to three new places I've never been to before, I thought that I will revive my mesp blog and use it as my travel blog for this trip. So if you would like to keep up with my adventures and missions, I'll be using this blog to update, hopefully, no promises though. Please pray for me when you remember to, the weeks leading up to the mission trip, during the mission trip, and the end of the trip will have lots of attacks, but if we keep our eyes on Him, there's nothing we can't do.
