Happy Birthday Justin Youngsup Kim!

i'm gonna tell the story of how we met. so around june '09, the summer before moving to Calvin, a total of three incoming students added me on Facebook. two of the 3 people shall remain unnamed, but one of them was JYK. i didn't accept or reject any of the requests because i don't accept people i don't know, but i didn't wanna reject cause i might end up knowing them, so i just left them there. then, on my first day in class, during roll call, who but Justin Kim was in two of my classes...back to back! but then i thought if i added him now, it'd just be weird, so i decided to wait till i had a chance to talk to him. one random week, he came to our fellowship and we officially met! then he decides to sit next to me in psych, but i really didn't want him to so i'd put my backpack there, but then he'd still sit there, so i gave in and let him, from then on, i'd give him an awkward smile when he came in. then once when i interrupted a roommate date of his in knollcrest, i got to talk to him a wee bit more. then somehow our friendship blossomed!

anyways, yixuan and i (and cho!) created this epic plan to celebrate justin's birthday and it was SO much fun! i love this odd family of ours. what an unforgettable night. but typing the details of what happened tonight would just be boring, so i won't. i'm also dead tired, so i'm definitely gonna climb to bed now, but before i do...

Happy 20th Birthday Justin~ you'll never be my favorite, but you'll always be my umma! and i'll always be here for you just like you've been there for me. may this new year be filled with joy, love, and wisdom! now that you're 20, you're gonna be smarter right? i have faith in you...hahaha. lastly, it was an honor to be your escort tonight :P

my worship team had to lead calvin's chapel and LOFT (sunday service) all week last week...so i was hecka busy and there was almost no breathing time. but PTL! because homework was light, hahaha. anyways, so then i had to be at all the chapels (even though, i technically should go anyways :P) but it made me love calvin's chapel and loft! i went to VERY few of the services last year, so i wasn't too interested, but being sorta "required" to go, i really enjoyed each time. sunday after LOFT i was SO hyper that i was sitting at my desk flipping out, i kept telling everyone how hyper i was and everyone just thought i was crazy...i had so much extra energy with nothing to do. ANYWAYS, the point is: our relationship with Christ is both personal and communal. last year, God was kept reminding me the importance of a personal relationship with Him, and last year i learned to push myself to move forward...so like no more parents/brother reminding me to do what i'm suppo...

this post is gonna deal a lot with 戀愛, haha, don't blame me, it's just what's been going on lately. because there's quite a lot, i'll try to condense it as much as possible. i'm also just jotting these down for my sake, because they work as a good reminder for myself, so don't feel obligated to read it. ha. 1) the things one does for the other this is coming from watching a lot of friends and the study of Exodus. so in Friends, Ross pretty much does ANYTHING for Rachel, he skips his dinosaur thingy for her, he does this and that for her, he's always sacrificing his own things for her. But Rachel never realizes. of course, being a TV show, she does eventually find out the stuff he does for her and goes awww. but anyways, it's just that, the receiving end never really knows what's going on in the sacrificing end, and kind of just takes everything for granted because...well, you're getting your way. anyways, i saw this in the study of Exodus too...

God is SO good to me!!! 祢太愛我了。My ticket to Israel and Egypt was bought yesterday, and i've been trying to get a ticket for the longest time, but time just never seemed to be good enough, and when i finally settled down on one, my program's itinerary was changed...i was like RAWR! So i sent the updated itinerary to my agent, and PTL! I'm on the exact flight as the group, except I'll be flying from Phoenix and back!!! I'm so thankful, God knew before that the group flight would be changed, so no ticket was prepared for me, but now everything works out! 哇，太奇妙了。NEXT, I've been researching netbooks because I don't wanna bring my apple abroad, and netbooks are just easier...and I researched before I told my mom I was gonna buy one, cause then it'd be easier to convince her.
